The trip is of one day, travelling from Bhopal to Kankali mata mandir to Chidia Tol to Raisen & back to Bhopal. So a total round figure of approximately 110Km travelling.The Trip is really great as it comprises of both picnic plus devotional spots.

KANKALI MATA MANDIR :

Its one of the Oldest temple of Devi Kali Maa known as one of the Shaktipeeth among Hindu pilgrims. Being so old it is one of the centre of devotion for Hindus. In Shardey Navratri and chaitra navratri peoples from all over country came for Pooja & Darshan. The statue of Maa Kali is so beautiful. Their is one special thing about the statue of Maa Kali, during navratri the neck of Maa Kali's statue is slightly tilted from its original position. It is approximately 20Km from Bhopal.

The Map Coordinates are 23° 14΄ 41” N  and  77 °36΄ 08” E.

Chidia Tol :

Its is one of the favorite picnic spots near Bhopal placed before Raisen.The Place is surrounded by Green nature and rock shelters. It is about 28Km from Bhopal.

RAISEN :

It is situated about 40Km from Bhopal. The most visited place in Raisen is the Shrine of Hazrat Peer Fatehullah Shah Baba who was a well know muslim saint. People have a strong belief that ones desires are fulfilled if asked to God via Hazrat Peer Fatehullah Shah Baba.Another place of attraction is Raisen fort. Also in the vicinity of the fort there are also several caves with ancient wall paintings.

KNOW THE ROAD ROUTE

The Road Route is simply to understand and the Road condition is better.You have to travel on National Highway-86. Again, I will advise you to have an experienced driver for driving the Four wheeler.

ROUTE :  BHOPAL --> BILKHIRIYA --> KANKALI MATA MANDIR --> BILKHIRIYA --> CHIDIA TOL --> RAISEN --> BHOPAL.

Travelling from Bhopal to Hoshangabad to Salkanpur to Bhopal is a full one day tour. A ride full of enjoyment with friends and family. Travelling by road through our own four wheeler is one of the best options you can also go through bus etc. The tour starts from Bhopal one of the best Green and Clean cities of India and the capital of Madhya Pradesh to Hoshangabad which is situated at approx. 75kms from it, followed by salkanpur which is approximately 35kms from Hoshangabad. The trip ends back to Bhopal. So, a trip of around 200kms.

PLAN YOUR WAY

Now the first thing that came in mind is -- What is Road Route and its condition?

I want to tell you either you go through car(i10, Swift, Accent) or Tata Safari like vehicle you should have experienced driver. Road from Bhopal to Obedullaganj is good but from obedullaganj to barkhera approx. 20km is a real disaster you have to find road in pits and car will go on in 2nd and 3rd gear only. Although from Hoshangabad to Salkanpur road is Very Good you will have average driving speed of 75kmph. From salkanpur to Obedullaganj the road is single but ok to drive at 50kmph. After that from Obedullaganj to Bhopal.

Now there are two ways to have this tour :

Route-1. BHOPAL --> OBEDULLAGANJ -->BUDHNI --> HOSHANGABAD --> BUDHNI --> SALKANPUR --> OBEDULLAGANJ -->BHOPAL.

Route-2. BHOPAL --> OBEDULLAGANJ --> SALKANPUR --> HOSHANGABAD --> OBEDULLAGANJ -->BHOPAL.
